STANFORD UNIVERSITY

This section showcases some of my design work as the Senior Lead Graphic Designer for the Office of the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education at Stanford University. In this role I worked with several different departments that acted as internal clients and partners. These different departments included a wide variety of subjects and deign needs from the Overseas Studies Program to Academic Advising to Introductory Studies to much more!

Introductory Seminars guidebook

This is a Guidebook sent out to all incoming Stanford first year students and transfers. This guidebook acts as an introduction to the different class options (Introductory Seminars) offered to students at Stanford. These courses are required and this guidebook gives a bit more information on each to help students make a decision on which courses sound interesting to them.

APPROACHING STANFORD UNIVERSITY

This is a guidebook that is sent to all accepted Stanford First Year students. This guidebook is extremely content heavy and covers all the information an incoming first year student could be wondering from the history of the university, to different clubs and organizations they can join, to lists of resources such as where they can get groceries and different kinds of transportation around campus. This project also included one off pieces that followed the same design system as the original guide to create brand recognition and continuity between the content they had already received. This one off pieces included New Student Orientation Guides that were distributed to both Students as well as a different version that was given to Parents and Family. These guides acted as schedules for the different events going on during New Student Orientation as well as a list of helpful resources.

BING OVERSEAS STUDIES PROGRAM 2023 ANNUAL REPORT

This is a view book for the Bing Overseas Studies Program Annual Report that is sent out once a year to all the top Stanford alumni donors to give them a rundown on all things that have occurred throughout the program over the latest academic year. This includes financial information as well as program demographics and program locations updates/news.

BING OVERSEAS STUDIES PROGRAM STUDENT VIEW BOOK

This is a view book for the Bing Overseas Studies Program distributed to all Stanford students who are interested in potentially studying abroad. This view book contains concise key information and directs the students where to go to take the next steps in their global studies journey.

Center for Teaching & Learning Strategic Plan Guidebook

This is a guidebook that was distributed to all Stanford Staff and Faculty Members. This guidebook highlights and explores the Center for Teaching and Learning, which is a resource used across campus to help bridge the gap between faculty and students to create the best possible learning environment for all. This years copy was a special edition 50th year anniversary for the program.

Hoefer Prize View book

This is view book is a compilation of the Hoefer Prize Award winning student essays. These student essays cover a wide range of topics across several different academic disciplines. This is one of the most prestigious awards an undergraduate essay can win at Stanford University. This view book was designed to highlight the students work in a very special signature way. There are two slightly different design variations for this view book given the different audiences. One book is designed for faculty with a more conservative, traditional, and academic look and feel. The second variation was designed for students with a bit of a younger, bolder, and fresher look.

Inclusive Communications Guidebook

This guidebook contains hopeful beginnings of an earnest internal conversation around how we should strive to approach inclusive communications practices across VPUE. Thoughtful, regular practice of inclusive communications is pervasive—it unfolds in the emails we write, our hallway conversations, our Zoom gatherings, our outreach materials, and our team discussions. It touches each of us in some way, and we all play a part in its ongoing success. This project required custom illustrations and art work to communicate rather complex and delicate subject matters.

STANFORD PRINT DESIGN WORK

This is a compilation of some smaller print based design work done for the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education Office at Stanford University. This includes design work ranging across all different departments throughout VPUE. Pieces include printed promotional content used across campus to promote different events and organizations. This also includes large scale advertisements and design assets created to assist particular departments brand image.

Center for teaching & learning brand identity

The Center for Teaching and Learning, part of VPUE, is endeavoring to rebrand a primary web resource called Teaching Commons. The objective: to elevate understanding of the variety of resources instructors can find on Teaching Commons and to ultimately increase site traffic as the content team enhances the site. As part of the rebranding project, you’re invited to bring a creative solution to leverage a new potential Teaching Commons tag line—chosen from the list below—in a multi-use, contemporary digital/print poster that could be integrated into an upcoming e-newsletter, shared on social media, in addition to a limited number of posters that will be printed and posted in select academic departments.

STANFORD DIGITAL DESIGN WORK

This is a compilation of some digital web based design work done for the Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education Office at Stanford University. This includes design work ranging across all different departments throughout VPUE. Project include web and mobile design, social media brand campaigns, digital advertisements and brand assets.
