High end premium products

This consignment retail shop would specialize in specifically selling table based games and activities. The fact that this is a consignment shop and is selling previously owned goods does NOT mean it is a second hand Good Will type store or pawn shop. This is a unique specialty boutique that sells high end premium products that may be considered rare or hard to find. If you have a specific rare product you are looking for that is not in the showroom, our staff is trained to help source and purchase the product you are looking for.

Choosing a brand name

I chose the store name of Top Notch Vintage Gaming for multiple reasons, the largest of those being that it is the most unique and different store name while also staying close to the theme and ideas behind the store. The name is nice because vintage gaming is included right in the title, so off the bat people know exactly what we sell. I also liked this name because of how well it matches the goals behind the store. The Top Notch is implying that we are a high-end shop that only sells the best of the best products.

CREATING A 3 PART DESIGN SYSTEM

next i needed to create a clear, simple and logical design system that could be used and translated on all brand collateral. the design system i created relied on typography, imagery and color. the four key pieces of brand collateral i used were a point of purchase display, a pop up event cart, the storefront location and a mural.

Point of purchase display

For my first piece of collateral I created this point of purchase retail display. This would be located at or near the checkout counter of the store and could hold a number of different pieces of brand merchandise from business cards to brand keychains, really anything that represents the brand. This box was designed and created using Artioscad and the graphics were created using Adobe Illustrator.

POP UP EVENT CART

This is a mobile cart that could be brought to pop up events and gatherings to help promote the brand and gain new customers. This would be a great way to help educate the public and make them aware of this store location and brand. On theme with the store this cart acts as a mobile pool table. This way the cart will draw people in by having them stop by to play a game of pool and learn a bit more about the brand. This strategy would lead to an increased customer base as well as create a great experience.

STOREFRONT location

This would be the storefront location following the same design system as the other brand components. This again would rely heavily on typography, imagery and color scheming. This was looking for a very simple and upscale look and feel to the brand. This storefront would act as a showroom where customers can come and view products to make purchases. The brand would also have a wearhouse where they would store any overflow products. This would be located on Park Ave in downtown Rochester.

BRAND MURAL

This would be a large scale brand mural that would help promote the store and brand. This would act to educate the public and help grow brand awareness/potential clientele. This would be located near but not directly at the storefront location to again spread awareness to people who might otherwise not know about the store. This would be located in a busy part of the city with good foot traffic.
