THE TRUTH ON PIGS
Many people are unaware of what a great pet and companion a pig can be. The majority of people only think of pigs as big, dirty, barnyard animals that are used for food. We here at Pig Pals™ have set out to put an end to this absolute travesty and shed some light on how great and diverse pigs really are! Pigs are actually one of the smartest mammals surpassing reptiles, cats, and even dogs on IQ tests. Studies also show that pigs are just as loyal as dogs and form bonds and connections with their owners. It has even been shown that pigs miss and think about their owners when they are not around.
PIGS ARE FRIENDS, NOT FOOD
Another one of the most common false stereotypes about pigs is that they are dirty and smell bad. It has been proven that pigs are actually one of the cleanest house pets a person can own. Pig Pals is determined to get the word out on pigs! We want to show America what a great pet a pig can make and that they have much more of a purpose than to just be made into deli meats. No pun intended, but the reputation of pigs has been dragged through the mud, we’re here to put an end to that. Pigs are friends, NOT FOOD!
The target market for Pig Pals is really any family or individual that is ready to take on the responsibility of owning a pet and provide a loving and safe home for them. That is the main and only demographic Pig Pals wants to reach, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or financial status.

The headline and the story would rotate with the image. Under the headline would be a short paragraph about the headline giving some basic information and background on the website. The Homepage is designed to be somewhat like a slideshow, the slides will be set to automatically shift every 10 seconds. You can also manually change from slide to slide by clicking the page icon at the bottom of the screen.

CATEGORIES TAB
When you click on the Pigs button on the top bar of options, this screen will appear. It will basically look like a white slightly opaque screen over top the homescreen with these different pig icons on it. These are all the different breeds of pigs Pig Pals carries. This page almost acts as a first filter to narrow down your choices and find what you’re looking for. When each icon is hovered over with the mouse its size will increase to make things more interactive for the user. If you would like to exit out of this page and go back to the previous homepage you just have to click the X in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
CATEGORIES PAGE
On the left side of the screen is the filter bar. This allows you to filter by certain categories to help narrow down the options and help you find exactly what you’re looking for. The more options you filter by the more specific your search will be and the less choices you will have. This filter bar allows the user to be as specific or general as they please.
In the top right corner is the sorting tab. Here you can sort the order in which the pigs are shown by different categories such as relevance, price low to high, and price high to low.
When you click on a picture or a name it will take you to that pigs individual page with more information on them. If you click a heart icon with no fill, it will add a fill to that icon and add and save that pig to your favorites list.
PIG PROFILE
When you select a pig you will be brought to their own page with more information on them. Here will be the pig’s name and an adoption button for if you are looking to purchase this pig.
At the bottom of the page there is a short paragraph giving a brief background and further information on the pig.
The bar on the right hand side will display the basic general information on the pig as well as more information on the Pig Pals adoption process. This side bar will also display different images of the pig. When you click on one of the images it will become the larger image to the left. This always you to see multiple different picture of the same pig.

DROP DOWN NAVIGATION TAB
When you click on the About, News, or Donate tab it will bring you to this white lightly opaque overlay again. Here it will include further options for each one of these categories. When you click on a certain category you like it will bring you to that specific page.
MEET THE TEAM
When you click Meet The Team under the About tab it will bring you to this page displaying each of the top key faculty at Pig Pals. When the mouse hovers over top one of the staff members it will flip to there second angle. Again, this is designed to make the site more interactive and enhance the users experience.

When you click on a certain staff member it will bring you to their individual page containing more information and background on them. At the top the employees name and job title will be clearly displayed.
There will be a short paragraph giving the employees background story and work experience. This would also include basic information and fun facts about the person. Under that at the bottom there will be links to the persons different social media channels.
PIG OF THE MONTH
This page would be dedicated to the winning Pig of the Month. Here we would display the winning Pigs name as well as including a large picture. Under would be a short paragraph giving a brief background on the Pig and spotlighting their accomplishments.
Under the news tab if you click on Pig of the Month it will direct you to this page. Each month Pig Pals awards one pig as pig of the month, this means they had been on their best behavior or achieved something special. This puts a spotlight on them and acts as almost an employee of the month for pigs. This is really to generate a following and keep users coming back to the site, even if they’re not looking to adopt a Pig at the moment.
CONTACT
This is the contact page. This page would include the main ways to contact Pig Pals including a questionnaire form, email addresses, two phone numbers, and the location of Pig Pals HQ. This page would include clickable location button that links you directly to HQ direction.
